Meet the Founder of Avyn
From the Ramp to the Cockpit — and Now Helping Others Take Flight
Tanner Osborn’s aviation journey started on the ramp, refueling airplanes at a small airport in North Dakota while flipping anything he could to pay for flight lessons.
But the dream started long before that. At eight years old, drawing pictures of Cessnas with “I daydream about airplanes” scribbled underneath.
Without access to traditional financing or a college path, Tanner built his career the same way he learned to fly: one smart move at a time.
He earned his private pilot certificate by flipping cars, then leveraged a handshake agreement with a local flight school owner to keep flying and build hours.
He went on to earn his commercial license, instructor ratings, tailwheel endorsement, and over 1,200 hours of real-world flight time.
He returned to that same small airport—this time as a charter pilot, instructor, and aerial survey pilot.
In 2020, Tanner structured and closed his first aircraft purchase and aviation business deal without a bank or broker. That process, full of dead ends, missing pieces, and inefficient systems, sparked the bigger idea.
Avyn was built out of that experience.
Because aviation doesn’t just need more listings or better marketing.
It needs clarity.
Access.
Strategy.
And someone who knows how to get things done, even when the traditional path doesn’t fit.
