Meet The Founder of Avyn.

From the Ramp to the Cockpit – and Now Helping Others Take Flight

Tanner Osborn’s aviation journey started on the ramp, refueling airplanes at a small airport in North Dakota while flipping cars and anything else he could to fund his flight lessons.

But long before that, the dream had already taken hold. At just eight years old, Tanner was sketching pictures of Cessna 172s with the words, "I daydream about airplanes," scribbled underneath — a dream that never left.

By 2018, he had earned his private pilot certificate, paid for entirely through flipping cars. College wasn’t an option, but a connection with a small flight school owner opened the door through an IOU-style agreement that allowed him to keep flying and building hours instructing when traditional paths weren’t available.

He went on to earn his commercial license, CFI, CFII, MEI, and tailwheel endorsements, and built over 1,200 flight hours. Tanner returned to the same small airport he started at — this time as a charter pilot, flight instructor, and aerial survey pilot.

When he launched his first aviation company in 2020, traditional financing wasn’t an option once again. So he got creative, structuring deals to buy his first airplane and fuel truck without ever involving a bank.

That experience didn’t just shape his journey, it sparked the bigger idea behind Avyn.

Because Tanner saw firsthand what many aircraft owners already knew: Aviation is full of outdated systems, inefficient sales channels, and disconnected resources, and it doesn’t have to be that way.

Avyn was built to change that. With a smarter, more strategic approach to aircraft sales, acquisitions, and ownership transitions — we bring the right people, tools, and process together to help aircraft move with clarity, speed, and confidence.

FAQ image

Q: What types of planes do you work with?

A: We primarily focus on general aviation aircraft right now—from trainers and pistons to light twins, but we are expanding into more categories as demand grows. If you're looking for something specific, just reach out, and we’ll let you know if it’s in our wheelhouse.
